Established since 1st January 2010, the Asia Regulatory Professionals Association (ARPA) is an organization of Healthcare Regulatory Affairs professionals in Asia. Our association consists of approximately 4,600 members who are based all over the world, including approximately 1,000 from Singapore, 1,000 from Hong Kong, 600 from the United States of America, 500 from China, 300 from India, and 150 from Taiwan. A diversified representation of different industry segments are represented, such as Medical Devices (1,200 members), Pharmaceuticals (950 members), Biotech (250 members), Recruitment (200 members), Health care (250 members), and more.
With our online community, tools & resources, as well as various face-to-face networking events, workshops and training sessions, ARPA offers a solid foundation for any regulatory professional and related professions, to develop their business network and their regulatory competencies.
Established in 1996, the Swiss Business Council Dubai & Northern Emirates (SBC) is a non-profit organisation, licensed by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Since its formation, the SBC has successfully promoted the interests of companies and individuals with connections between the UAE and Switzerland. The SBC provides a lively and stimulating forum whereby members may identify, discuss and pursue common interests regarding their activities.
Overseen by an Executive Committee, the SBC organises regular events and activities, including presentations with influential local and expatriate decision-makers, introduction of new Swiss companies in the UAE, educational workshops, guided tours and discussions with representatives of the UAE and Swiss governments. It conducts monthly social and networking events that stimulate the exchange of ideas and experiences. The SBC further supports and participates in shows such as the Arab Health, Gitex, Arabian Travel Market, Gulfood and other major exhibitions in Dubai.
The SBC works closely with the Swiss Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Swiss Consulate in Dubai, the Swiss Business Hub Middle East, Presence Switzerland (who are in charge of the Swiss EXPO 2020 Pavilion) and UAE Government departments to facilitate the interaction to promote Switzerland in the area
The SBC cherishes Swiss traditions but also seeks to always stay up to date with the latest trends. This is notably the case through the very active sub-groups; the Financial Group, the Health Group and the Environmental Group, all having significant impacts in their field and a powerful influence regionally.
Their membership database constantly increases, ranging from UAE national corporations and Swiss multinationals to individual private members. To qualify for the SBC membership, companies and individuals should be able to demonstrate a clear business or cultural focus and interaction with Switzerland – either as a Swiss National, Swiss registered organization, or a local representative, agent or distributor of Swiss goods and services.
